I know people are like “why does this keep happening????”

but now I have this meta/theory in my head thanks to @f-ckyeahfutbol about sam and the pestilence horseman and how he’s always infected with something (and it’s worth noting that that horseman was probably the angriest we’ve see, and sam at that time was having anger issues) 

Wait, wait, wait. Dean is immune to famine, Sam is immune to these diseases, and Castiel is immune to death. Is Crowley immune to war and strife?

you do have a point actually (i like to pretend cas is dean’s guardian angel and can’t die as long as he’s alive)

but i like this theory more since it actually can be connected in canon. 

i don’t know how crowley can be immune to war and strife. I’m trying to think how he could be. But then again, he wiggled his way past the apocalypse, became king of hell, no one challenged him for years, and then he got his throne back again. he schemes, plans, plots… i feel like maybe that’s it. 

No, I definitely think Castiel can’t die while Dean is alive because he’s somehow bound to Dean’s soul after having claimed it in hell, hence why he wasn’t resurrected by whatever force keeps resurrecting him while he and Dean were both in Purgatory. But symbolically, it kind of fits.

And I guess that a silver-tongued salesman that has been “selling sin to saints for centuries” might be seen as immune to strife. It also strikes me that the first time we see him, he’s watching the marching of the army of the Third Reich – wistfully.
