Cas and Dean meeting at their local LGBT+ youth center for the Gender Talk one week!! Cas is there because he’s about to come out to his family as a trans man, and Dean is there because they’re not really sure what they’re feeling these days wrt their gender. The two kind of hit it off; they linger in the hallway for nearly an hour after the meeting’s over, just talking about themselves and their family and things. They keep meeting, long after Cas patiently, carefully, and repeatedly explains to his family that he’s a gay man, despite his designation at birth. It’s a rough road at best, especially when Dean explains that coming out to their dad would be tense at best and violent at worst, but Dean and Cas make it work. It’s worth it, though, especially when after three weeks of HRT, Cas finally gets to introduce Dean to his family as his partner, and they’re both received with nothing but support and love.
